Yas Hotel - Stunning building at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi

One weekend, we went for a drive with my Oldham bro to Yas Marina ...

The Yas Marina Hotel is a hotel facility built across the F1 Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The Yas Hotel was designed by New York based Asymptote Architecture.
Over the building is a steel grid shell clad with 5,389 glass LED panes. The hotel opened in Abu Dhabi on Nov 1, 2009 to coincide with the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

I captured these with my Nikon D80 and two lenses, one Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 and a Tokina 12-24mm wide-zoom lens.

The 499-room, 85,000-square-meter structure was built by Al Futtaim Carillion for Aldar Properties. The project consists of two twelve story hotel towers linked together by a bridge featuring a lounge bar and a VIP level.

We also had a look around the inside, but I was more impressed by the outside!

A parting shot ...

Abu Dhabi is my next best destination. I am so excited to see in person the Yas Hotel. Finally, it's going to the best for sure!
