Chefs at work ...

Interesting breakies of Fish Head Noodles (with Milk) one morning in Taman Desa ... it was pretty good. Thanks to Peg for the reccy!

RM$32 was the damage for the four of us, inclusive of the really good desserts-drinks (Barley-yeemai-fuchok, and Pumpkin).
What's Taman Desa? Wikipedia has the answer...
Taman Desa's construction was started in the early 1970's. It is within close proximity to Kuala Lumpur city centre, taking approximately ten minutes of travel time by car. Taman Danau Desa is a trendy spot in Taman Desa. The Faber Towers and Desa Waterpark near Tasik Taman Desa is located here. Business centres like Danau Business Centre, Plaza Danau 2 and the Faber Complex has more shops, bakeries and banks.

If you like fish head noodle, there is a good one near Cheras Leisure Mall, the fried fish head is very crispy and aromatic. Do try their pan fried fish paste also.

Address: 23, Jln Manis 7, Taman Segar, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

There is a yellow banner in front of the shop. Need a litle patience to dine there though, usually I go after 10am to avoid the crowd.

This is my mom's favourite fish head noodles shop and I love their foo chuk-yee mai. We tarpau from here all the time!

Definitely recommended for all to try!

I wouldn't suggest the steamboat here at night though. Last time I had it, the seafood wasn't fresh!

I love how they douse it with rice wine hence it is so aromatic. Gosh, now tummy growling for a big bowl of noodles.
