The International (2009) - Dull, dull, dull!

Cinema: TGV One Utama, SHE-Club movie night ... Free!

The International had much to promise, starring Clive Owen as Louis Salinger, and Naomi Watts as Eleanor Whitman.

Even the tag-line, "They control your money. They control your government. They control your life. And everybody pays" was intriguing. But that was about the most interesting thing about this film!

imdb.com ... In The International, Interpol Agent Louis Salinger and Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Whitman are determined to bring to justice one of the world's most powerful banks. Uncovering illegal activities including money laundering, arms trading, and the destabilization of governments, Salinger and Whitman's investigation takes them from Berlin to Milan to New York and to Istanbul. Finding themselves in a high-stakes chase across the globe, their relentless tenacity puts their own lives at risk as the bank will stop at nothing - even murder - to continue financing terror and war.

This photo just about sums up the film ... beautifully shot, gorgeous actors/actresses, but a waste of 2 hours!

imdb.com Rating: 2.0/5.0 ... Playing off the current fears about privacy and the control of worldwide corporations, writer Eric Warren Singer tries to blend modern paranoia with the genre of the action thriller, but ends up writing a film that is somehow both overly complicated and shockingly predictable at the same time.

juliansi.blogspot.com thinks ... Shockingly dull, and poorly acted :-)
