Rainbow Palace ... Exquisite piggy dinner, KL

Cheik and family invited us to Rainbow Palace in Kuala Lumpur this week ... exquisite! Quite possibly, I rank this as my FAVOURITE chinese restaurant in town ... Why? Check out the meal below!

For a previous review which includes directions, please refer to ... Mmmmmmmmh!

Starters
Even the bits and pieces of appetisers on the table, pre-dinner were yummy ... the steamed peanuts, and the ikan bilis in XO sauce.
The actual 'starters' came on a wooden boat, and it includes various deep-fried seafoods, white-fish, tempura prawns, and other bits and pieces of yummy stuff.

Here is our merry gang ... we occupied two tables, and had plenty to drink.

The masterpiece ... The pig. Roast piggy stuffed with yam glutinous rice, EXQUISITE! The bones and spare parts were deep fried with salt and pepper, damn good too.

The other dishes were just as good .. Excellent double boiled chicken soup (the chicken came off the bone, and when it is dipped in soya sauce, simply marvelous) ... Yong Tau Foo in black bean sauce, another one of Rainbow's signature dishes ... Steamed fish in superior Soya sauce ... Yam-soup ... And for afters, we were served Yellow bean and Chesnut broth , followed by Shanghai pancakes.

A meal here is never complete without a drink or three ... Yammmmmm sennnnnnnnnng! Chivas, Macallan and Wolf Blass Merlot.

Here's a rare shot of the chef ... having a drink with us! He da man!
